NAIJAGOSSIP / POLICIES
Editorial Policy How we report.
This policy explains how NaijaGossip researches, writes, corrects and labels the stories we publish.
Accuracy and sourcing
We aim to verify claims with primary sources, on-the-record statements, official releases or more than one reliable source. Rumours are labelled clearly and are never presented as confirmed fact.
Authors and accountability
Every story carries the name of the writer responsible. Author profiles link to the writer's other published work.
Corrections
When we get something wrong we correct it promptly. Readers can flag errors with the Report link on any story; editors review every report.
Independence and sponsored content
Advertising and sponsorship never buy favourable coverage. Paid or commercial posts are labelled Sponsored.
Fairness and privacy
We give people we report on a fair chance to respond where possible, avoid publishing private personal details, and take extra care with stories involving minors, health or personal tragedy.
Images and music
We credit photographers and creators, and only publish media we own, have licensed or are permitted to use. Rights holders can use our Copyright Policy to request a review.
