NAIJAGOSSIP / ENTERTAINMENTVDM Takes Fresh Swipe at Zlatan Over Wedding and Music Release
Nigerian social media activist VeryDarkMan has criticised rapper Zlatan Ibile over the attention surrounding his wedding and latest music release, adding to speculation about a disagreement between the two.
In a social media post, VDM alleged that the rapper used his wedding publicity to support the promotion of his album. He claimed that neither the celebration nor the project generated the level of public interest he expected.
The activist also questioned the response to wedding reports published by entertainment blogs. According to him, none of the posts he referred to reached 5,000 comments. His remarks reflected his assessment of the publicity rather than a verified measure of the event’s reach or the music’s performance.
Turning to Zlatan’s music, VDM said he wanted to see the rapper’s latest song hold the number one spot on Apple Music for a full month, adding that he would be disappointed if it fell short.
His comments followed speculation among listeners that Zlatan had referenced him in “INFERNO,” a song featuring Peruzzi and Shoday.
Some fans interpreted a lyric mentioning “Vincent” as a possible reference to VeryDarkMan, whose first name is Vincent. However, that interpretation remains unconfirmed, and the material provided does not include any statement from Zlatan identifying VDM as the target.
The latest exchange follows earlier disagreements linked to discussions surrounding the death of singer Mohbad.
While the comments have renewed online interest in their relationship, the suggestion that “INFERNO” contains a direct attack on VDM remains speculation.
